We’re so excited to celebrate this special weekend with all of you. It means the world to us that you’re taking time out of your busy lives to be with us as we get married! We feel fortunate, grateful, and humbled by your love, generosity, and support as we step into this next chapter. We can’t wait to see you and celebrate together.

We've put together some information about what to expect, along with frequently asked questions and travel information. You'll also find a printed copy of this information in your welcome bag at the hotel.

Saturday, June 27th, 2026

  7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Dress to impress, formal attire.

The reception will begin promptly at 7 PM upstairs in the famous Chicago Room. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to find your seat, grab a drink, and settle in.

  10:30 PM to 2:00 AM

We hope you will join us at a private section of Machine Cocktail for a night-cap. This is optional for all guests.

We have a room block at The Godfrey Hotel, which is an 11-minute walk & 5-minute drive to our venue and after-party. It was important to us that our guests had an accessible experience and could accommodate some of our solo travelers.

Transportation

Who doesn’t know O’hare? Regardless, Midway is another great option for flying in. We encourage you to look into both! <3

For anyone coming from the surrounding Midwest or suburban area, we also recommend the train as an option if driving and parking feel overwhelming.

  • If you’re staying at The Godfrey Hotel, the venue is just a 5-minute Uber ride or an easy 11-minute walk away.

    Free valet parking will be available at the venue, but we also encourage guests to take an Uber or rideshare if you’re coming from nearby in Chicago.

  • The reception will begin promptly at 7 PM, so please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to park, find your seat, and grab a drink before we get started.

  • Our reception will begin promptly at 7 PM and will be served family-style served to guests in their seats by G&G staff.

    This includes appetizers, a full course dinner, and dessert. Vegetarian & Vegan options will be available.

  • We ask that guests arrive 15 minutes early to find their seats and grab a drink.

    Dinner will begin promptly upstairs in the Chicago Room & Library. Please be advised that the venue is older, there will be stairs and no elevator.

  • Our wedding dress code is formal. We’d love to see jewel-tone dresses and classic, elevated attire. As always, bring your full selves to these looks.

    Neutrals like gold, silver, and black are also acceptable but please refrain from white.

    June in Chicago can be warm and a bit humid, and we kindly ask that guests avoid casual summer sundresses and no jeans for men.

  • While we wish we could offer a plus-one to everyone, we’re keeping our guest list intimate. If your invitation includes an additional guest, it will be noted on your envelope. Otherwise, we kindly ask that you not bring a plus-one.

  • For all wedding events, we kindly ask that no children attend. Thank you for understanding.

  • All guests are welcome to join us from 10 PM to Midnight for a night-cap at Machine Cocktail, down the street from the venue.

    This is optional for all guests and we hope some of you join us to keep the party going. Your RSVP will only cover the reception dinner at Gene & Georgettis.
